BROOKLANDS BADGES for collector's, enthusiasts and for those for nostalgia for the old Brooklands circuit from 1907 until the outbreak of WW2.

The full story can be read and downloaded from the B.A.R.C.C. club website by clicking onto: www.brooklands-automobilia-regalia-collectors-club.co.uk Also see: www.barcc.co.uk

Brooklands BARC car badges of the inter-war years, some are available as per the illustration shown here, please contact us for an up-to-date stock situation of original Brooklands & BRDC badges.
Stop press: ALL now sold the only car badge that we have is the Brooklands Flying Club members loan badge which is in chromed brass with vitreous coloured enamels of a black mono-plane on a deep carmine red backing, this is coming into land (or taking off) at the Brooklands aerodrome with the clubhouse in the foreground. This is a low membership number 17 on the reverse along with their makers stamp of 'H.A. Shelley, High Holborn, London, EC1' for sale with a letter of provenance for £1,750

A UNIQUE COMPLETE COLLECTION OF BROOKLANDS anual entry pass BADGES along with their GUESTS BROOCHES to the former racing circuit. The entire run 'built-up' over many years from the opening of the circuit in 1907 until the last issue of 1942...
ALL the Members' badges & Guests brooches are in gilt brass with vitreous coloured enamels and have the makers particulars and issue numbers on the reverse, the obverse are defined in bright vitreous coloured enamels (most of the makers are now long gone and unfortunately the numbers are no longer traceable as all records were lost long ago according to The Brooklands Museum Trust., however if a family still holds these then of course this is good provenance to the original owner/s).

The "complete" collection Ex.*'The Steering Wheel Club, London', provenance provided from the former owner as well as Onslows auctions, Charterhouse auctions, RM (Sotheby's) Inc. and Bonhams and other auctions. Note that as far as we are aware this is the one & only "complete" collection, even The Brooklands Museum do not hold all of these! All Membership badges came with a coloured hanging cord that changed from year to year, the guests brooches were issued as pin-back. The makers names on the reverse vary, most however were contracted out to 'W.O.Lewis (badges) Ltd, Birmingham'. The more important sets are still in their original boxes and mounted onto date stamped cards with the membership rules on the outer box cover lid.
All are in excellent condition unless stated otherwise. A "Once in a lifetime opportunity" for your hedge against inflation, investment & enjoyment!...

Alternatly I 'may' be interested in some sort of part exchange for Lalique inter-war period car mascots of a similar value. Please inform me in any case if you have any for sale.

Note: Brooklands Museum Trust are interested but not Heritage Lottery funded to purchase the collection as funds are spent on the restoration of buildings and preservation of the historic site. Their memorabilia is mainly donated from decesed estates.
